The Vineyard: The Pinot Noir blocks at Plum Hill sit situated close to the Tasting Room on the hillside just north of the bar. The grapes are spaced 8x5 which allows room for them to grow as well as get a tractor down! The vineyard sits between 200-350 feet allowing great airflow as well as drainage for the vines. We have happy plants!

The Winemaking: At Plum Hill we like to let the wine showcase itself. We destemm our Pinot Noir and allow it to ferment on the skins picking up wonderful flavor, aromas, and color. The wine ages in barrels for up to two years, being transferred between barrels at least one time. The wines are then carefully evaluated to determine their placement.

The Wine:  The 2015 Patio Pinot truly showcases just how different a vintage can be. This wine gives off a mix of different aromas including cherry, raspberries, floral tones, and spice. To complement those aromas that palate has more of a fruity characteristic with notes of cherry, cranberry, pomegranate, dark apples and white pepper!
